Athlone Institute of Technology was established in 1970. The main campus is situated approximately 1.5 miles from the town centre on the Dublin Road. The Institute currently offers an extensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to 5,000 students, which has been a factor in attracting many industries to the town.
Survey Live: 3 February - 23 February 2020
Each participating institution selects a specific three-week period during February and March to open the survey for their students. This allows the national survey to take account of local events and other demands on students’ time in order to increase the benefit of the survey at local level – “national survey, local impact“.

Most impactful use of the survey data for AIT
The Quality Office have published their own ‘annual StudentSurvey.ie report’ specific to AIT. This report contains very valuable data pertinent to the Institute which is disseminated for action throughout the Faculties. This type of report could be used to demonstrate best practice throughout the sector.
