"The scores for Student-Faculty Interaction are the lowest of all of the results in the StudentSurvey.ie National Report 2022. Given what we know about the importance of these relationships for the development of students, I suggest higher education institutions look closely at their own results for this area and seek to make enhancements in this area."
Prof Peter Felten, Elon University

Being a student union representative puts you in a unique situation. You have to represents thousands of students on a local level and hundreds of thousands on a national level. There is no way we can talk to that many students, so having a tool like StudentSurvey.ie is incredibly useful as it allows us to see how students are doing socially, personally and academically across Ireland and in their institutions.

It’s important that we continue to work together. Collaboration and student partnership is vital. Students and student representatives need to have a seat at the table when the results of the survey are being analysed. It is crucial that we close the feedback loop. Students will feel more empowered to take part in the survey when they know that taking the time to answer the survey can have a positive impact and make effective changes in their institution.
Clodagh McGivern, USI VP for Academic Affairs

The 2022 results are available in the Executive Summary and on the StudentSurvey.ie National Report 2022 website. We have another fantastic well of information available online in the form of the StudentSurvey.ie Trends Over Time Research 2016-2021. I am delighted to announce today that StudentSurvey.ie will be offering bursaries of up to €10,000 for the analysis of qualitative data generated by StudentSurvey.ie and PGR StudentSurvey.ie. I will also be running a series of short, online workshops on analysis of StudentSurvey.ie data during October and November. You can find more information about all of these at www.studentsurvey.ie.
